Jabril Ali, 25, was wanted for attempted murder and related counts when US Marshals arrested him in Point Breeze Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Investigators believe Ali shot 38-year-old Jamie King in Chester just after midnight on May 3, 2022.

King, a husband and father, was driving a tow truck for a car repossession company when he was ambushed in his vehicle while waiting for his next call, Daily Voice reported.

He wrecked his vehicle trying to flee his attacker but was ultimately hospitalized in critical condition with gunshots to his stomach, chest, and head.

In the days that followed, neighbors and well-wishers raised over $120,000 on GoFundMe.com to assist King in his "long road to recovery."
